DEVELOPMENT COSTS:

Table Reading: $11,000
Creatives spend a week working on the show and do one day with actors to hear the show out loud.

Developmental Reading: $36,000
The creatives and cast present the material while standing at music stands.

Staged Concert: $600,000
Fully-staged concert for a two-week run open to the public.

Each year we try to produce 3 table readings, 3 developmental readings, and one concert.

The question we get the most is

HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?

We are so thrilled to see so much enthusiasm about what we are building. We know that it’s something that’s really needed, and we can see how this new pipeline will work. HOW IT WORKS

Instead of investing in one particular show, why not invest in the pipeline and help to push forward some really innovative, new work.

WHAT ARE WE SOLVING FOR:

Developing new musicals requires creative teams to preview the show to producers and investors through developmental readings and presentations where the show can begin to take shape.

The cost of space rental, printing costs, and the fees for the actors and directors can really add up along the way. Many traditional sources of funding for these development steps have disappeared in recent years, which has caused a gap where many unique and fresh new musicals used to be developed.

If you know someone (or an organization) that is interested in becoming a part of this movement, there’s several ways you can help.
